LIFE COACHING SOUNDS 'FLUFFY'. WHAT IS IT EXACTLY?

Life coaching is a process that is focused on the future and in taking action. A life coach empowers an individual to identify their goals and to develop an actionable plan to achieve them. A life coach does not provide advice.

BUT ISN'T LIFE COACHING THE SAME AS COUNSELLING?

No. Counselling and therapy focus more on the past, on emotional healing and releasing psychological blocks.

HOW CAN A LIFE COACH HELP ME?

Do you feel stuck or that you are not reaching your full potential?

Is there a gap between where you are now and where you want to be in life?

Does your future look overwhelming or uncertain?

A life coach can assist you to move forward in your life by helping you build on your skills and strengths that you may not be aware of and to help you unlock your potential.

WHAT DOES A LIFE COACHING SESSION LOOK LIKE?

Life coaching is usually conducted one-on-one over the phone or via Zoom (or similar application) and a session lasts approximately 45 minutes. Your life coach will ask you a series of questions, such as what you want to achieve and where you see yourself in the future. Through deep questioning, the life coach will empower you to explore the options available to you to achieve your goals and for you to identify achievable action items to support those goals.  


You can attend as many coaching sessions as you feel you need, however many people will attend a number of sessions over a period of several weeks or months. All sessions are confidential.

HYPNOTHERAPY

WHAT IS HYPNOTHERAPY?

The experience of being hypnotised is essentially being in a deep relaxed state yet with a heightened awareness. Many of us experience such a state every day, for example, if you are driving along a familiar route and you don't recall driving past a certain landmark. 

Hypnotherapy sessions can be conducted face to face or over Zoom (or similar platform) and go for about 90 minutes.

WILL YOU MAKE ME CLUCK LIKE A CHICKEN?

When someone mentions hypnotherapy, many people think of those dreadful stage hypnosis scenarios where people are up on a stage and are asked to cluck like a chicken.


That’s not what clinical hypnotherapy is about.

In hypnosis, you can’t be forced to do something against your will or that is against your values and beliefs. 

All hypnosis is self-hypnosis and the hypnotherapy practitioner is merely a facilitator.

Research and empirical evidence has shown that hypnotherapy works in helping people with a range of conditions.   

WHAT CAN HYPNOTHERAPY HELP WITH?

Hypnotherapy can be used to help in a variety of circumstances, such as:

  • Quitting smoking and vaping

  • Quitting alcohol  

  • Weight management (I have specialist certification in Virtual Gastric Band)
